Adding to the Call Flow
Once you have added a User Extension you will probably want to connect it to a phone number for receiving calls. Here we will show you how Frank is given a direct line.
To do this we're going to drag and drop a User Extension to the Canvas. This is a good place to point out that User Extensions are not actually used directly in the Call Flow Map, instead we use a Ring Extension block which 'points' at the correct User Extension. While this sounds more complex, you will see the process is transparent and will give you flexibility when using Extensions.
Change to
Edit Mode by clicking 'Edit' on the top left of the workspace.

Click 'Edit'.

Number to the

Change the settings for ringing the
User Extension (if required) by double clicking on the
Block.
Note that you are editing
Ring Extension which 'points' to the
User Extension and the changes are local ie. they don't affect the
User Extension settings. Click 'Save' button when done.

Finally to activate the changes you have made you will need to click 'Apply Changes'. You can now make a test call to the number you have just added.

Activate the new Extension with 'Apply Changes'.
