Improved caller-id presentation handling Posted on November 4, 2014October 25, 2017 We’ve changed the way caller-id presentation works. You will now see the caller-id of the number that receives the call to help differentiate . We used to send the ‘main number’ as caller-id for every incoming call which was transferred to an extension. The problem with this method was the difficulty in recognising which number received the call. If you are running two businesses from the PBX, then that was a problem. To improve this scenario the number called will be presented on the extension which receives the call. To illustrate using the example below. Let’s consider ‘Operator’ is answering calls on his/her mobile from +448444123015 & +442071124631. Now if ‘Operator’ receives a call on +448444123015 then 08444123015 will be displayed on their phone. If ‘Operator’ receives a call on +442071124631 then 02071124631 will be displayed. Operator now sees caller-id of number called Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...
